Community Action

At a young age, Jay learned the importance of community service and he continues to take action that expresses his commitment to his community.  Below are some examples of Jay's recent volunteering.  

Children of promise, NYC

Children of Promise, New York City works with the children of incarcerated parents.  Jay is volunteering as a mentor and is enjoying spending time with his mentee. 

Transportation alternatives

Founded in 1973 Transportation Alternatives’ mission is to reclaim New York City's streets from the automobile and to promote bicycling, walking, public transit. For two years, Jay has been working with Transportation Alternatives' Brooklyn Task Force.

hillary for america

Working on Get Out The Vote (GOTV) for the Obama Campaign in Virginia's Hampton Roads was a life changing experience for Jay during 2008 Presidential Election. Subsequently, in 2016, he worked the phone banks in Brooklyn and with GOTV in Greensboro, North Carolina for the Clinton-Kaine campaign.
